The Diy Almond Milk has been a massive hit at our house. I make a fresh batch every 2-3 days, and the almond pulp was building up in the freezer. I wanted to use it in in something that would get eaten a no-fail type of recipe.
Read MoreSaturday was gorgeous! I couldn't miss the opportunity to get our family dressed up and out for some pictures. We went to a park close to my parent's house. I spent so many years as a young child and teen in this park.

Read MoreI don't know how it happened, but I LOVE carrot cake everything. I still remember years ago when my sister told me she was baking her husband a carrot cake for his birthday and I joked around that he must have been really bad that year.

Read MoreOkay, it's not a mudroom, but for now, I'm going to pretend it is because I don't like "entryway" or "hallway" and because it's usually muddy, anyways.
Read MoreLast night was Date night for Anthony and I, which meant my parents were coming over to have dinner with the kids. My Mom likes to bring her food over. She doesn't trust I'll have everything she needs which is probably the case. When she was going over the menu, she mentioned peanut butter cookies, and immediately Anthony's sad expression popped into my head, he's been gluten-free for the past 2 years.

Read MoreI had every good intention in the world for completing this guide weeks ago giving you all enough time to place orders with some of my favourite local shops. Unfortunately, I was so busy with the handmade side of Tesser Traditions that I didn't get the chance. I'm going to share all the shops and ideas anyway, just in case you want to check them out for future gift ideas for yourself or a friend. A few shops haven't reached their cutoffs yet, so you may get lucky.

Read MoreLike most 80's babies, Anthony and I grew up eating hamburger helper. To be honest, though I've never made it, we've always tried to eat as real as possible. Except for fish, a few times a month Anthony eats a gluten-free, vegetarian diet which, can be a real pain when you want a quick meal that's filling, inexpensive, and that the kids will eat. This week I played around with a gluten-free vegan pasta dish that just happened to taste like hamburger helper. This recipe is good fresh, as leftovers, and freezes well.

Kendall and I enjoyed our time together on Friday, she thanks you all for your Birthday Wishes. Call me "old," but I have a hard time focusing on shopping in stores that are very bright, have too many options, and really loud music, so I usually prefer to buy online. On Friday Kendall saw this unicorn thing in Forever21 and dragged me in.
A few years ago, Anthony and I were lucky enough to get tickets to one of the last Tragically Hip concerts. The only catch was it was in Ottawa. My parents stayed the night to watch the kids and Anthony, and I headed out for a rare two days away. We stayed close to the Parliament Hill in the Lord Elgin Hotel. Located in the lobby or around the corner ( I can't remember) was a Starbucks. The morning after the concert we grabbed a coffee and a muffin. It was my first time having one of those blueberry cake like treasures.
Last week, I posted a photo of Anthony, and I dressed up for a last minute date night and got tons of questions about my dress. I'm short, just around the 5-foot mark. Finding a dress that doesn't need alternations can be tricky, but a few of my favourite brands carry "petite" lines that work perfectly for me. I'm going to share two of them with you today.
