Despite whats happening outside, stores are filling their shelves with spring and summer clothing. Thank goodness, it makes this weather feel less depressing. I had to return a pair of jeans to Aritiza, while I was in there I spotted the return of my favourite Rive Romper.

Happy Friday, Friends! Morgan needed a suit for his first communion next week, so we took the day off and popped over to The Bay. When we walked in, I realized BAY DAYS is on!

Even though It's snowing again today, I know spring is on its way. Spring is the perfect time to treat yourself to some new pieces.

I'm terrible at eating breakfast, I know it's the most important meal of the day, but after I drop the kids off, I'm so eager to get to work that time just gets away from me. Before I know it, it's 12 pm, and I'm super hungry, so I grab toast or a granola bar.

Of all the theoretical trips we talked about taking, a cruise was never one of them. In fact, beach / relaxing style trips have never been on my travel list.  That could be because I never planned on going anywhere by Airplane. The only place I've ever longed to visit is the East Coast. Growing up watching Anne of Green Gables and Road to Avonlea gave me a fondness for Prince Edward Island that I've never been able to shake. I could go on about my visions and the dreams I've had, but I'll save that for another time. 

Most little kids see an airplane high in the sky and look up in amazement, curiosity, and wonder. When I was little, and up until 2 weeks ago, I looked up and felt nervousness, fear, and anxiety. I was one of those people who was set on never taking a flight.

Happy Sunday, Friends! I'll admit we aren't much of a sports family, and we don't usually watch the Super Bowl. When I was a kid we did, maybe that's why I don't watch it now, My ears are still ringing from my Mom screaming at the Tv.

  When Anthony and I were younger, we exchanged gifts on Valentine's Day. One year he got me a game cube, yup! A game cube for Valentines Day.  After that, I decided we should do nice things for each other instead.

Just like when I was a child, we celebrate all occasions. I have very clear memories of my Mum decorating out big living room window with treasures we made. I want my kids to have the same fond memories I have. We've been making our own Valentines since Morgan started school...

 You all know how much I LOVED my Ektrop sofa from Ikea. I will never own a sofa that isn't slipcovered, especially with small children. I thought about selling the Ektrop for a few months, the main reason I didn't was because of the beautiful covers I bought from Bemz. Eventually, Pinterest won the war...

Anthony and I love soup, we eat it all year round, even on hot summer days. It's a great way to pack in a variety of vegetables with little dishes and without turning the oven on

For most, including me, this is the time of year where I reflect most on my life, my goals, and where I see myself at this time next year. Not only is it a new year, but in a few days, it's my birthday.

Our family loves granola bars; I try to make my own to save money and to avoid unnecessary preservatives. This recipe is simple, quick, and only requires a few ingredients.

Between Tesser Traditions, and getting ready for the holidays we are as busy as Santa and his elves. Once summer break is over time just seems to fly by.
