VALENTINE’S DAY TABLESCAPE
This is a big week around our house. Bennett turns ONE on Friday, Valentine's Day is on Sunday, and My Mums Birthday is on Tuesday. True to my nature, I'm trying to do 100 things at once, and it's not going all as planned. I've been feeling a little off my game this week and decided I wouldn't bother putting together a Valentine's Day Tablescape. But then I reminded myself that being creative and creating something beautiful is exactly what I needed. So off I went to get as many pink hydrangeas my arms could hold, lol. My closest store didn't have any in stock, so I had to change my vision a bit. While I was at the grocery store, I bought some cupcakes to give the table a sweet little touch.
I use fresh flowers in almost all of my designs, and I love the colour they add even when they are white, lol, I love the way fresh flowers make our home feel. I dream about the day I have a big garden and over bloomed hydrangea bushes.
Once I figure out my centrepiece, I start to add my plates. Today I used wood chargers to add some different levels, and then I added my simple white plates and salad plates. Salad plates are less expensive than dinner plates and add the perfect seasonal touch. Today I used blush pink salad plates and my Gramma's flower-themed vintage dishes.
I'm always adding reusable cloth napkins to my collection. I have a bin full in the basement and in my serving hutch. I love the way my DIY heart napkins turned out and how perfect they look in this tablescape. I'm in love with my new matte gold cutlery. I think it looks so beautiful on our white table.
I used sweets around the table to add some soft colours and keep the table themed for Valentine's Day. I also used all the heart decor I could find. Anthony made most of it for our little Tesser Traditions shop.
I hope you guys love this blog and all the pictures as much as I do. I get so much joy out of sharing this type of content with you.
Happy Valentine's Day!
