Last week I was given early access to the BLACK FRIDAY sale happening at Roots. I'm not sure if it was given to all email subscribers or ones that have recently placed orders. Whatever the reason, 25% off almost everything and an extra 10% off sale items is worthy of a gift guide!

I love Roots for so many reasons, mainly quality and comfort, and because they are Canadian. The brand was founded by two city boys who grew up camping just around the corner (well, sort of) in Algonquin Park. You can read more about that here. I also love that their media campaigns feature all colours, all sizes, and all kinds of families.

Okay, back to the good stuff!

First and foremost, the women's jacket. I bought the green one a few weeks ago and have worn it daily. I stood outside in an IKEA return line for an hour and a half when it was -1, and I was toasty warm the whole time.

We all have pieces from roots, yes, even Deegan! They have cute and practical jackets for fur babies of all sizes. Most of the inspiration for our family photos have started with something I found for Deegan at Roots.

When I found out I was pregnant again, one of the first things I bought was a long sleeve one piece from Roots. If you're looking for the perfect gift for a baby, this is it. They are so warm, wash well, and are great for travelling in car seats. Sometimes when it's chilly, I add a light sleeper underneath.

You all know how much I love matching Pj's! You can wash these Pj's 100 times, and they still look great. The salt & pepper style is perfect all year round.

Who isn't living in PJ bottoms or joggers these days? I've always had a hard time finding joggers that fit me because I'm only 5ft. I was thrilled when Roots started offering "short" options. They have "tall" as well.

I buy a lot, maybe most of Anthony's winter wear from Roots. The sizing is on the bigger side when it comes to men's, so I usually order him a size down. The flannel shirts are 100% cotton flannel, so they are good quality, wash and wear well. He's had a similar button-up sweater to the one pictured for years and still loves it. It's kept its shape, and the buttons are not loose.

You know the colder weather is here when we start wearing our cabin socks, and when I start finding them beside the sofa every night because Anthony's feet are hot, lol!
