Ever since I was a little girl, I've loved Lilacs. We had a small bush down the street when I was NapkinsVintage Cornflower GlassesMatte Gold Flatwaregrowing up, and each May, I would snip a few for my Mum, bring them back and put them in a glass on the table. My sister has the most beautiful yard filled with flowering trees and bushes. I anxiously wait for her to tell me they are ready, and I rush over just as fast as I can and snip as many as I can reach, lol!

I love to set the table, especially for holidays and on Sundays. Over the years, I've collected a mix of my Gramma's dishes, vintage pieces from markets, blue & white plates, and beautiful linens. Of all the things I've collected, these are my favourite.

I love incorporating fresh and seasonal into all my tablescape designs. Sadly, lilacs only last a day or two, so I wanted them to steal the show this year. Arranging florals in baskets or boxes is a lot easier than you think. No bags or floral foam. A simple plastic container will do.

Using the longest ones, put in the water and lay them along the edges.

Once the outside is full, you can start adding the smaller stems to the centre.

I love the way this turned out. Each time I walk into the house, the smell makes me so happy—a quick and simple way to add a touch of springtime to your table.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, Friends!
