Cozey Sofa Review

I've had a lot of requests for this review, and since it's almost been a year since we received our original Cozey sofa, I thought now was a perfect time. You guys know that something lasting a year in this house is a review itself, lol. We are currently reorganizing our basement for the fall/winter months; more areas for the kids to go means less fighting. I thought about selling the cozey sofa to make room for a new sectional, but after a lot of browsing and review reading, I decided to keep the couch and add to it, which brings me to my favourite part of the Cozey sofa because it's a combination of different modules you can make any configuration to suit any space. Let's talk more about what I love about Cozey.

  • The company is Canadian

  • Shipping is free

  • Assembly is straightforward and the boxes are labelled. I could bring all the pieces inside, up a flight of stairs, and assemble it myself.

  • No tools! You could take this sofa to a forest and build it.

  • The packaging is clearly labelled and as minimal as possible. I hate spending hours cutting up boxes from Ikea sofas.

  • The covers and cushions are replaceable—only $25 per cover or $45 for the whole cushion.

  • The legs are solid wood

  • The simple, sleek design

  • It's been almost a year with daily use, and the cushion structure is still perfect.

While there is a lot to love, there are a few things that I don't love.

  • The fabric pills a lot, according to similar reviews on the website I've read that the company has addressed that problem and offered to send a de-Piller, or replace the covers.

  • You can't change the fabric on the arms or the base of the modules; I wish I could because I would prefer a darker colour now that it's in the basement.

  • As a 3-seater, the couch doesn't seem deep enough for a big family movie night unless you add the ottoman. I had this in mind when I ordered additional pieces: the corner section and a chaise. As soon as it arrives, I'll post pictures to Instagram, so make sure you are following me there @megantesser

Overall I would recommend the cozey sofa; depending on your space, size, and family size, I would recommend you look at the different models. The newer Ciello model might be a better fit. If you buy one, I would love to know what you think. I considered buying that model before I ordered the additional classic pieces.

**Cozey sent me the sofa pictured above as a gift. However, all opinions and photographs are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that help support my blog.
