Nana's Almond Cookies

I'm so excited to share my Nana's Almond Cookie recipe with you. I don't know why I've never thought about sharing these old recipes before. Maybe it's because I typically create recipes that are on the healthier side. But sometimes, you need butter and sugar, and these cookies have plenty. I will share this recipe the exact way my Mum has it written and not in my usual format.

Nana's Almond Cookies

Cream:

1 cup white sugar, 1 cup butter

Add:

1 egg (not beaten ) 1/2 cup ground almonds

Add to Flour:

1 teasp baking soda, 2 tsp cream tartar, 2 1/2 cups flour

Mix well and roll like marbles, and press with a fork. Bake at 350º oven for 12-15 mins.

I made a few adjustments, but I'm sure that doesn't surprise you. I used 1 full cup of almond flour and substituted the regular flour for gluten-free. This is my favourite brand.

I hope you will give this recipe a try, and if you do, I would love to know what you think.
