Dress: From Aritzia last year. Similar Style

Today, I am sharing all of my favourite early fall dresses. If you guys have been following me for a long time, you know that I am pretty plain Jane when it comes to patterns and colour, but this year I am in love with so many long floral print dresses. Another item that keeps popping into my online window shopping cart is sweater dresses, some that skim your body and others that are big and comfortable.

If you are planning your fall wardrobe, you need to check out all the styles that I'm loving! Don't forget to “pin” your favourites. I've got you covered, from school drop-off to date night to family photos and weekends spent lounging around the house.

Usually, when I’m shopping for dresses, I look for neutral colours that I can wear with many different accessories and for many occasions. But this year, I find myself gravitating towards all of the beautiful floral prints, especially in the longer-length dresses.

Whenever I hear puff sleeves, I can’t help but think of Anne and Matthew in that beautiful scene from Anne of Green Gable’s when he bought her first puff sleeve dress. I’m thrilled that they are making a comeback; when done right, on a simple style like this dress, they can make a simple yet beautiful statement.

Midi dresses are hit or miss when it comes to my frame and height. However, there are many affordable ones on the market, so it was easy for me to order a few and return those that did not work out. It might take a few different styles before you find the right one. They are very versatile; you can wear them from late summer into next spring, so I stuck with neutrals.

I have always been a big fan of sweater dresses, and I love thick and body-forming ones. They are comfortable and warm, and they give you a great silhouette. I also love the ones that are a bit looser easy to wear around the house, and comfortable.

I hope this blog helps give you some inspiration for your fall wardrobe. If you need help shopping, I’m your girl and always happy to help with any styling or fit questions. You can send me an email at hello@megantesser.com, or you can leave a question in the comments box below. Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you have a great day!
