Main Floor Makeover Take 2 - The eat in kitchen

The house we are living in now is open concept and has two designated eating areas. I've always thought it was such a misuse of our space . We are a family of 4, why do we need two different spaces to eat just steps away from each other?  After a year of convincing myself, and Anthony, on boxing day we decided to convert the eat in kitchen into the kids playroom. Of course once it was a space dedicated completely to them they decided they were never going to play in there. Occasionally when I was lucky they would sit at their little table and eat Dinner.

When we started to paint the living room I decided to turn the eat in back to a designated eating spot again. The walls are painted in " Coastal Beige" just like the living room. I took down the heavy grey drapes and put up some nice sheers to brighten the room up.

I took an old window frame I was using to display artwork and hung it on the wall. Then I added a sign I made and the wreath I purchased from Crawfords during Christmas. Above the curtain rod, I hung up a sign made by my friend Lena over at Muse Studio & Market. The table was in the basement, we refinished it in the summer and it never sold. No idea why?! I love it, so I guess it was meant to stay here anyways.  The chairs were purchased off a local buy and sell Facebook page. They were painted them in "Jack Black" by Benjamin Moore. Lol well first they were painted white and then I made Anthony paint them again.

The hydrangeas are from Terra Nursery and so is the planter.

The Dishes are from Homesense and the napkins are from Pier One.

Anthony is almost finished the table for the dining room so hopefully next week I'll be able to share the makeover with you all.

Thank you for reading. I hope you all have a beautiful weekend.
