Spring Photos with Mama Moose Photography

We try to have family photos taken once a year or every 18 months. I think it's important to be in the pictures with my family, and document how we've all changed. Some of our best memories are made at these family photoshoots. Naturally, Deegan is usually the star.

Over the years, we've had the privilege to work with some fantastic photographers. I belong to this beautiful community filled with female entrepreneurs. So many have become trusted friends and some of our biggest supporters. Because I'm friends with many people in the same industries, I've made a vow to myself to always have integrity and lead with honesty, If I see something I love, I contact the person who created it, I don't contact my closest friend in that industry and ask them to replicate it.

Nicole from Mama Moose Photography has a beautiful Instagram feed, and I immediately fell in love with a session she posted months ago of two little boys on an old train track with acres of beautiful greenery. I was thrilled when she offered to book Puddicombe Farms and photograph us there. Our first date was on Mother's Day, but it was freezing, rainy, and nothing was blooming so she postponed it to the first weekend in June.

As you can see, the weather was perfect! Nicole was a natural with the kids and immediately made them comfortable. Morgan wouldn't stop talking, and he's usually the quiet one. Kendall loved that she was able to explore and run free.

I love how every single photo turned out. Now that the kids are older, we can be more flexible with timing, so we had these photos taken just before 5 pm on a Sunday. The world feels happier and sunnier on Sunday afternoons don't you think?

If I had to choose a favourite, this one would be it. Deegan snuggled up with his Mama, Anthony smiling proudly, Kendall getting ready to take off, and Morgan curiously looking into the orchard.
