Neutrals From H&M Home

Around this time every year. I have a twitch to switch. When all the Christmas decorations are gone, the house feels open, clear, and clean, but after a while, it starts to feel a little too empty during these winter months. We are moving in a few months, and I didn't want to purchase any big items, so I went to the Internet and found a few things that I thought would be perfect. H&M Home always has different discount codes, so I snagged a few of my favourites at 20% off; if there is a code valid right now, wait a few days because they happen often.

The soft blue plaid throw is beautiful and looks like it cost a lot more than it did. Bennett, it's at the age where any spot in the house could be where he will sit in and play with his cars or read his books, so I got him one of these little cushions. He can move it around and have a comfortable spot fit, especially since the floor is so cold in the winter.

You guys know how much I love my vases; it is probably the only thing I continue to collect. Before we move, I might sell a few because the collection is getting big, lol!

I also added these plates with hearts because Valentine's Day is on the way, and I thought they would be a cute addition to tablescapes. Gold accents on my table are something that I have loved since last year; this cake server is my favourite, and I love the tall candlesticks, especially in winter when we are eating dinner after the sun has gone down; sometimes adding a little candlelight makes the dinner feel cozy and the days feel less depressing. Who doesn't love eating with a soft glow? I also think it makes my kids calmer and less likely to leave the table as soon as possible. While it's on my mind, Do you sit as a family and eat dinner every night? I read somewhere that most people don't do that anymore. We always do, Sometimes I let the TV stay on, but most of the time, it's music playing.

How are you keeping your home cozy and happy during this season?
