LEGGINGS & SWEATERS

Good Morning! Happy Thursday. My first scheduled blog post went live earlier this week—what a great tool. I wish I had done it sooner! I was worried all this time it would glitch or not post when it was supposed to—as usual, worried for nothing.

Today I'm sharing all the comfy clothes I've been wearing while we are staying home and praying this Virus gets under control soon—what a scary time. I hope you are all staying well!

A few weeks ago, one of you told me about the Aerie Offline Leggings. I bought a few pairs on sale and was eager to see if they lived up to the hype. I've tried other brands, but I've always gone back to my Lulus for the last ten years. My favourite part of the leggings is the length; they have three different options (Short, Regular, Tall). I'm 5,' and the "short" fits me perfectly. I bought the XS Short. They fit like a glove, tight but not see-through, and the band doesn't fold down on me all day. I bought both styles, regular leggings, and ones with side pockets, not in this colour in black but the grey show the pocket better.

Another thing I'm noticing and loving is the fabric. It's similar to the Align leggings from Luluemon but better, yes I said it, better! I have a wool carpet, and it's common for it to shed quite a bit the first few months. My lulu leggings were covered, and it was a pain to get all the hair off, but it brushed off relatively quickly on the Aerie ones. I also notice a lot of pilling with my lulus that I haven't seen with Aerie. To test them out, I wore the same pair for two weeks on and off, and I was very impressed with the quality, how they wash, and how well they keep the shape. If you purchase anything from my suggestions today, this should be it! Layering is my favourite part about this time of year, from a style perspective. Some days I like to wear a running top under my sweater like this one from Lulu. It's tight and keeps me warm all day. I also love it because I sweat a lot, even when it's cold. I spend most of my day running around the house, working up a sweat. The only thing I don't like is the arms are very long and tight, so it's a bit of a hassle when I need to do the dishes. The other two tops are from Aerie. One is a button-up (functional buttons); it's warm, loose, bum covering (on me), and flattering. The other is a waffle top; it fits a bit smaller and is bum covering as well. I prefer tops with cuffs at the wrists for even rolling, lol. And they rarely have loose strings around the hem. I wear a 6 in the Lulu Top, XS in the Button-up, Small in the waffle top.I wear sweatshirts all year. As a teen, my favourite part of summer was when the sun went down, and it was cool enough for me to grab a sweatshirt. They are, by far, the most versatile piece in my wardrobe. I'll show you what I mean in another blog next week. I love the green one from Aritzia so much, I bought it in two different styles. The grey sweatshirt from Lululemon is oversized and thicker, great to wear under a shacket or a thin coat. The brown sweatshirt is from Aerie; like most of their loungewear, it's soft, comfortable, and affordable. But! It doesn't keep its shape, and you need to be mindful of how you wash it. It's the sweater I wear when I'm testing out new recipes, cleaning, or painting...so the one I wear the most. Unfortunately, the Club Monaco Sweatshirt is no longer available, but I'll let you know asap if it restocks.

No comfy outfit is complete without a wireless bra, cozy socks, and slippers you can run outside in. I've accidentally worn my slippers out so many times that I bought two pairs. The fluffy ones are my house slippers, and the brown ones are the ones I wear when I'm dropping the kids off at school or grabbing a coffee.

I'm so proud that I was able to reach my goal of two blogs this week! Tomorrow I will send out the first of my weekly newsletters. You can sign up below if you would like to receive it.

Thank you for stopping by. Taking the time to read my blog means so much to me!!!
