I love a fresh start, and while I make goals and resolutions all year, I find the beginning of a new year particularly motivating. I love this short window of time when I can reflect on the year behind us and dream about whats to come in the one ahead of us. The most important thing I've focused on this year was stopping and breathing in those moments that I know won't come around every day. I sit, take a deep breath, smile, look around and truly absorb, having a quiet mind, and a grateful heart has been something I've always struggled with. In February I took my first plane ride, something I never thought I would do, I remember sitting on the beach in St Martin watching Anthony and the kids splashing in the ocean and thinking I need to hold this memory in my heart forever. After that trip, I made a point to be grateful in the moment more often. As each year passes, the only thing I miss is time! I wish I had more control and that it didn't fly by so quickly.
As we move into 2019, I encourage each of you to take time in the moment, to be happy and thankful. You never know when a holiday or a particular date will be different because it's missing someone special.
Lastly, Thank you a hundred times over for your support and kindness this year. I've met so many beautiful people in this social media community! I couldn't imagine my life without you. I truly appreciate you reading my blog and sharing small parts of your life with me.
